This work is aimed to compare the diversity of parasitoids families in three successional stages (5, 25 and 60 years), from a dry semideciduous tropical forest in Mexico. It was proposed due to the limited knowledge about their diversity, their high richness and its importance as regulators of phytophages. A total of 10 Malaise traps were placed, from September to December 2016; within each successional stage at the Kaxil-Kiuic Biocultural Ecological Reserve, Mexico. As many as 23,435 specimens of hymenopterans were collected, distributed in 33 families were collected; Braconidae, Diapridae, Scelionidae and Bethylidae were the most abundant families. Total estimated richness was calculated, without differences for the different successional stages according to the non-parametric indices, CHAO 1 and ACE. But with highest alpha diversity in the 25-year-old vegetation; which can be explained by the mean disturbance theory. Beta diversity showed high numbers of families shared between the different stages of the vegetation. In conclusion, the high numbers of families found demonstrate the importance of dry semideciduous tropical forest of Yucatan in maintaining parasitoid diversity, especially in intermediate successional stages of dry semi-deciduous tropical forest.
