In Mexico, around 75 % of corn plants are native varieties, particularly in Yucatan; corn is grown in Leptosol soil, which has a low water storage capacity and nutritional problems. Microbial inoculants present an alternative to these conditions by improving plant rooting and nutrient availability in the soil. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of microbial inoculants based on Rhizophagus irregularis, Pseudomonas fluorescents and Bacillus subtilis, on the growth and yield parameters of the native corn Nal-tel. Microbial inoculants were applied to the native corn Nal tel, and the parameters of gas exchange in corn at the flowering stage and the yield parameters at the physiological maturity stage were determined. The microbial inoculants showed a significant increase in the parameters of gas exchange and dry biomass (27 - 110 and 10 - 63 %, respectively). Inoculated plants did not show a significant effect on yield parameters (1637.50 - 1987.50 kg/ha).
